Mucura (Petiveria alliacea)

About the plant

Mucura (Petiveria alliacea) is a perennial in the Petiveriaceae family, American tropics. Leaves and roots emit a strong garlic-sulfur odor when damaged. Used in traditional medicine and as a protective remedy; in the Amazon it is placed alongside ajo sacha in spirit: strength, vigor, protection from witchcraft influence.

Properties and use

Mucura gives 'vigor' and strength, raises motivation, helps move projects forward when there is inner viscosity and apathy. Protection from 'witchcraft' themes and sorcery makes it popular among practitioners for whom boundaries matter. Not hallucinogenic; often part of cleansing and protection lines.

Use in dietas

Dieta with mucura is a dieta of protection and vigor. Suitable when one needs to restore energy and set a shield without entering heavy visionary layers. Often combined or alternated with ajo sacha. Guidance by a maestro.

Precautions

Petiveria alliacea at traditional doses is usually well tolerated; allergic sensitivity to the odor is possible. Contraindications are general for dietas.
